The beloved bear with the red hat, duffel coat, and a love for marmalade sandwiches has held a dear spot in every little one’s heart since the late Michael Bond introduced him in A Bear Called Paddington back in 1958.

Time for the big screen! In 2014, the iconic bear made his film debut with Paddington, winning huge acclaim worldwide. The first film of the series captured the charming bear travelling to London, from the jungles of Peru. Once in the big smoke, he was adopted by the Brown family and embarked on many adventures. All the while, nefarious taxidermist Millicent Clyde (played by Nicole Kidman) tries her utmost to capture him.

Paddington 2 followed in 2017 with another round of applause and breaking box office records once again. The sequel focused on Paddington’s wrongful imprisonment after he was framed and imprisoned for a burglary that he did not commit, while Hugh Grant delivered an unforgettable performance as the villainous Phoenix Buchanan.

Arriving in UK cinemas on 8th November 2024, the third Paddington film promises another heartwarming adventure. This time, our beloved bear (once again voiced by This is Going to Hurt’s Ben Whishaw) is heading back to Peru to visit his Aunt Lucy in her cosy retirement home for bears. Of course, the Browns are tagging along for the ride, and you can bet there’ll be plenty of marmalade-filled mishaps along the way!
