Until then, you can browse current offers on cot beds, bedside cribs, travel cots, mattresses and nursery furniture sets below, or explore our full range of furniture and bedding.
Black Friday Cot Bed & Nursery Furniture Set Deals
A cot bed is usually the biggest single nursery purchase, so Black Friday is a sensible time to look at cot bed deals. The difference is simple: a standard cot is designed for babies and younger toddlers, while a cot bed is larger and converts into a toddler bed once your child is ready, which means one frame can last from the newborn months into the early years.
When comparing cot beds, check the internal dimensions, as these decide which mattress you will need, and look at how many base heights are offered. A higher base position saves your back in the early weeks, and you lower it once your baby can sit or pull up. Many cot beds also have a teething rail and some convert to a day bed or junior bed.
If you are furnishing the whole room at once, nursery furniture sets keep everything matching. A 2 piece set usually pairs a cot bed with a chest of drawers or changing unit, while 3 piece furniture sets add a wardrobe. Measure the room, including door and window positions, before you choose.
Brands we stock include Tutti Bambini, Ickle Bubba, Gaia Baby, CuddleCo, Charnwood and the Stokke Sleepi, and their cot beds and sets can be part of Baby Friday when they carry a campaign price.
Bedside Crib & Travel Cot Deals
The Lullaby Trust advises that babies sleep in the same room as you, for daytime naps as well as at night, for the first six months. A bedside crib makes room sharing easier: it sits level with your bed, often with a drop-down side, so you can reach your baby for night feeds while they still have their own separate, clear sleep space. Look for height and tilt adjustment that matches your mattress, a secure strap or fixing system to the bed frame, and a compact fold if you plan to move it between rooms. You will find next to me crib designs such as the Chicco Next2Me among our bedside cribs.
A travel cot is the practical choice for holidays, weekends away and overnight stays at grandparents’ houses, and many families also use one as a play space at home. Check the folded size and weight, how quickly it sets up, and whether it has a bassinet level for younger babies. If it does, check the manufacturer’s age and weight guidance for that level and stop using it once your baby reaches those limits. Always use the mattress designed for that travel cot, or a replacement that fits with no gaps.
Travel cots from Hauck, baby plus, Graco, Joie and Tutti Bambini can be part of our Black Friday travel cot deals when they have a Baby Friday price.
Cot Mattress Deals
The Lullaby Trust says a baby’s mattress should be firm, flat and waterproof, and should fit the cot or crib with no gaps around the edges. It generally advises buying a new mattress for each baby. If you do use a second-hand mattress, it should still fit with no gaps, be firm and flat, and be protected by a waterproof cover that is in good condition.
There are three main types:
• Foam mattresses are lightweight, which makes them easy to lift when changing sheets.
• Fibre mattresses use layers of natural or synthetic fibres for breathability, and many have a removable, washable cover.
• Sprung mattresses use a pocket or open coil core with padding on top, giving a firm, supportive feel that suits a cot bed used for several years.
Always buy the size that matches your cot bed’s internal measurements, and once it is in place, check there are no gaps between the mattress and the sides of the frame. A waterproof cover protects against nappy leaks and makes cleaning easier.
Browse cot mattresses from CuddleCo, Tutti Bambini, Ickle Bubba, Mollydoo and Stokke, which can be part of Baby Friday.
Nursing Chair & Rocking Chair Deals
You will spend many hours in a nursing chair, especially during night feeds, so comfort matters more than almost anything else. Look for firm back support, armrests at a height that supports your arms while feeding, and a seat depth that suits you. A rocking chair or glider can help soothe your baby, and a matching footstool takes pressure off your back and legs. Measure your room first so the chair fits without blocking the cot or door, and think about fabric: a removable or wipe-clean cover is easier to keep fresh after spills.
Chests of Drawers, Changing Units & Wardrobes
Storage is where a nursery becomes practical. Many chests of drawers come with a changing unit on top, giving you a safe height for nappy changes and drawers underneath for clothes, muslins and nappies. Once you no longer need the changing top, it can often be removed so the chest carries on as everyday furniture. You can also choose separate changing tables with open shelves.
The NHS advises never leaving your baby alone on a changing table, even for a moment, so keep everything you need within reach before you start.
Chests of drawers and nursery wardrobes should be fixed to the wall following the manufacturer’s instructions, using the anti-tip bracket or wall fixing supplied. Shop storage from Shefa Kids, Tutti Bambini and CuddleCo.
Black Friday Baby Monitor Deals
There are three main types of baby monitors. An audio monitor lets you hear your baby and is simple to use. Video baby monitors add a camera and screen, often with night vision, two-way talk and room temperature display. Smart baby monitors connect to an app on your phone and may offer sleep tracking. When comparing Black Friday baby monitor deals, think about range, battery life and whether you prefer a dedicated parent unit or an app.
The Lullaby Trust says there is no research showing that baby monitors help prevent SIDS, and a monitor can never replace a parent’s supervision. Keep the monitor control unit out of your baby’s reach.
What to Check Before You Buy a Nursery Deal
A good deal is only a good deal if the product is right for your baby. Before you add anything to your basket, run through these checks, based on advice from The Lullaby Trust, the NHS and CTSI:
1. Look for the safety standard. The Lullaby Trust lists BS EN 716-1:2017 for cots and travel cots, BS EN 1130:2019 for bedside cribs, and BS EN 16890:2017+A1:2021 for cot, travel cot and crib mattresses. Check the product details or label. The Lullaby Trust also notes that meeting a standard does not guarantee a product is safe in terms of SIDS, so safer sleep habits still matter.
2. Check the mattress fit. The mattress should fit the cot with no gaps, and be firm, flat and waterproof.
3. Keep a clear cot. Do not use cot bumpers, pillows or duvets, and keep toys and loose bedding out of the sleep space.
4. Plan for room sharing. For the first six months, your baby should sleep in the same room as you, day and night.
5. Secure tall furniture. Fix chests of drawers and wardrobes to the wall following the manufacturer’s instructions.
6. Read the price properly. A “was” price should be a price the product was genuinely sold at before. Check the current price on the product page.
Which nursery deal at which stage
| Stage | What parents usually look for | Where to start |
| Before birth | Cot bed or furniture set, cot mattress, nursing chair | Cot beds |
| First months | Bedside crib for room sharing, baby monitor | Bedside cribs |
| Travel and visits | Travel cot with a well-fitting mattress | Travel cots |
| Growing up | Cot bed converting to a toddler bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers | Nursery wardrobes |
If you are expecting, it often makes sense to buy the cot bed, mattress and storage first, as these take the longest to choose and assemble. A bedside crib and monitor can follow nearer your due date.

Should I buy a new cot mattress for each baby?
The Lullaby Trust generally advises buying a new mattress for each baby. Whatever you choose, the mattress should be firm, flat, protected by a waterproof cover and fit the cot with no gaps.
What safety standard should a cot or bedside crib meet?
The Lullaby Trust lists BS EN 716-1:2017 for cots and travel cots and BS EN 1130:2019 for bedside cribs. Mattresses for cots, travel cots and cribs are covered by BS EN 16890:2017+A1:2021. Check the product details or label before you buy.

Cot bumpers are not recommended. The Lullaby Trust advises keeping the cot clear of bumpers, toys and loose bedding, and the NHS describes cot bumpers as a hazard for choking, suffocation and strangulation.
Which travel cots are included in the Black Friday deals?
Travel cots from brands such as Hauck, baby plus, Graco and Joie appear on this page when they have a Baby Friday price. Cots and travel cots should meet BS EN 716-1:2017, and the mattress should be firm, flat and fit with no gaps.
Do baby monitors reduce the risk of SIDS?

How do I know a Black Friday nursery discount is genuine?
A “was” price should be a genuine price the product was previously sold at, and an RRP should be clearly labelled as an RRP. Check the current price and offer details on each product page before you buy.
Offers are available while stocks last and prices are correct at the time of publishing; see each product page for the current price and the Baby Friday campaign terms.
